Scientific Plant Name: indigofera suffruticosa
Common Names: Anil, Guatemalan Indigo
Each seed packet contains seeds harvested right here on our farm. Commonly known as Anil or Guatemalan indigo, suffruticosa is technically a tropical to subtropical perennial. However, in USDA Zone 7b, it behaves more like a tender perennial or short-lived perennial, depending on the winter conditions. Thrives in well-drained soil and full sun, making it a great annual addition for growers in USDA Zones 6 and below and ideal in Zones 7 – 11.

Grower's Note:
Thrives in full sun and well-drained, sandy or loamy soil. In Zone 7b, protect roots with heavy mulch to encourage regrowth in spring. In colder zones, treat as an annual or grow in containers for overwintering indoors.
